Inagene & Together We Stand are proud to partner for June's PTSD Awareness Month.
Help yourself and your loved ones with personalized medicine.
In support of June's PTSD Awareness Month, Inagene is proud to partner again with Together We Stand to provide Inagene’s Pain & Mental Health Pharmacogenetic Test Kits to help military and veteran families feel better, sooner.
Did you know that genetics can play an important role in medication management?
Many military and veteran families are personally affected by pain or mental health-related conditions, and often the journey to finding the right medications is not an easy one. Because everyone is unique in their response to medications, extended “trial and error” is common, with up to 2/3rds of people not responding to the first treatment prescribed.
Pharmacogenetic (PGx) testing determines how your genes may impact how you respond to a medication.

Traci’s daughter struggles with depression and anxiety
My daughter has struggled with depression and anxiety for the past 4 years. When first diagnosed we tried many medications with varied results, some worked but the side effects were too great to continue, and others didn't work at all. When I learned about the Inagene test I was hopeful it could be the solution. The report helped us find a different drug, and her doctor switched her over, leading to a great result!
The Inagene test has had a positive impact on our family. We recommend it to anyone who requires medication for anxiety and depression as it will simplify their journey.
A pain specialist on his patient’s fibromyalgia
She was “extremely happy” with the comprehensiveness and utility of her Personalized Insights™ test results, particularly as they have directly impacted her treatment plan going forward. Discontinuing a medication (which had been classified as Do Not Use) was seen by my patient as a real bonus, as she thought she would be paying out of pocket for it for another 10 years!
Bonnie validated her difficult past experiences with opioids
The test results are entirely consistent with my past experience...I feel validated seeing them. I spent years trying different drugs, and was told the problems were in my head, and I felt like no one believed me. I can’t help but wonder what it would have been like if ten years ago I had taken the Inagene test, and then started to try medications with this information available to all of my doctors.
Richard has chronic pain and depression
I cannot put into words how valuable this is to me.
To wake up in the morning and my hands and feet aren’t on fire or screaming at me, to look forward to working again, to be able to do stuff with my kids....I would pay all the money I have for this chance at life again.
Anonymous on his son’s depression
Your test saved my son’s life. He had tried several medications for depression without success, and had become hesitant to try new medications because of negative previous experience. The doctor had put him on a new drug, and he was having real problems with massive mood swings and aggression.
When we got the test results they were very revealing, and my son recognized a bunch of things from his previous experience. He was taken off of the drug and almost instantly the aggression subsided. He is now on a different drug which he is tapering off on. It is like two different people. Without this test Lord knows what would have happened - assault or relapse.
